My kids and I got the awesome opportunity to check out LEGO KidsFest in Indianapolis a few weeks ago. Not only were they overwhelmed with all the LEGO stuff but it was so neat to see all the items made just from LEGO bricks!
Right when we walked in we were presented with life-sized LEGO sculptures of some very familiar characters.
Of course we all know who this is! It's Lightning McQueen from Cars. Yes, he was life-size and completely made from LEGO blocks.
Then there was Superman. I think he was a bit taller than life-size since he was taller than me but I'm also short so he could very well be the correct height.
Then we saw The Lego Movie logo. Super cool to see something like that completely made from LEGO blocks and suspended at that!
Also from The Lego Movie, Wild Style. I didn't know who this was as I haven't seen the movie but my kids have and knew exactly who it was. Sorry for the somewhat blurry pictures. We were so excited to get in there and check it all out that I forgot my camera in the car and was forced to use the camera on the phone. There were so many more characters and things to do and see there as well. There was Cinderella, Star Wars characters, zoo animals, a pirate ship, Cinderella's carriage, and so much more. One of the newest LEGO products is Mixels. My youngest and I played with them for a while and they're super cute! Of course they had the LEGO Friends area which was all the pink and girly LEGO blocks. My girls loved that part because they got to take home a little LEGO Rapunzel pack.
If your kids are LEGO lovers, and honestly what kid isn't, then you definitely need to check out the LEGO KidsFest tour and see if there's one coming near you. You'll have hours of fun and will get to take home plenty of goodies and memories. They also have a little store within the show so you can purchase LEGO sets that you'll only find in exclusive LEGO stores. Since we don't have one of those near us it was really fun to look at the sets that are available that we can't find in stores around here. I, personally, would really love to have Santa's Workshop or the Holiday Village Market. I think those would be cute to display during the holidays. I never knew that holiday sets existed until I saw them at the show.
