How often do you have a stressful day? Whether it's at work, at home with the kids, or you're just tired from running around trying to get a million things done in one day, the best moment of the entire day is when you can finally sit down, put your feet up, have a glass of wine, and just let the day go. I'm no stranger to those type of days and I rely heavily on being able to unwind at the end of the day after the kids have gone to bed and it's quiet. But nothing will ruin that moment like realizing that through all the chaos of the day, you forget to get a bottle of wine. Sure I suppose you could watch your favorite guilty pleasure show without the wine but where's the fun in that?
Never run out again with the Winc Wine Club. Winc is an online membership program that ships wine directly to your front door and they've revolutionized the way we choose wine by offering the Palate Profile quiz. This quiz recommend wines based on your tastes so you never again have to guess if you'll like the bottle of wine your picking up from the store. They are a direct-distribution global wine company that features wines from select retailers and restaurants nationwide.
How it works is every month, Winc will recommend a few bottles depending on your profile quiz and whether or not you prefer reds vs whites. You can choose to look at those specific bottles to see what year they are, what region they are from, what notes they feature, etc or choose to keep it as a surprise, which I find enjoyable. A nice feature that Winc provides is they give you the option to skip a month. Maybe funds are a little tight that month or you just don't feel like having wine, Winc lets you have control. From your Membership page, you can see when your next box will be processed and how many credits you have. Fun fact, you can earn credits by rating the bottles you get or by referring your friends to Winc using your specific link. Rate 10 bottles, get $10!

Each month, Winc ships out 4 Wines. I have my settings to 2 Reds and 2 Whites because I personally like to switch it up. I like the excitement of never knowing if I'm going to find a new bottle that I love. I especially love being able to share a bottle or two with friends and family. It sure makes you look fancy when you show up somewhere with a bottle of wine. This month I received the 2015 Rosa Obscura Red Blend, 2013 Un Paso Más Red Blend, 2016 Ruza® Rosé Cans, and 2016 Finke's Widow Sparkling White Blend. All were terrific wines but I certainly had my favorites.

The 2015 Rosa Obscura Red Blend was a lovely full-bodied red blend that features notes of cherry, cocoa, and strawberry. It's slightly sweet with an alcohol percentage of 14.7%. It's heavy on the fruity side and that's mostly to blame on the Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah blend. It comes from Califonia and a fun note, the winemaking is vegan in nature. It's best served at room temperature and perfectly pairs with poultry or something sweeter like chocolate cake. It's a great wine for a romantic moment.

The 2013 Un Paso Más Red Blend, which translates to "One More Step" in Spanish, is another red blend that's more on the fruity side. But certainly has a bit more of a Woody and Earthy flavor. This wine has flavor notes of dark cherry, fig, and white pepper. Created in Spain and, barrica-aged for three years this wine has a smooth and rich texture. This wine is made from an organically farmed eco-friendly vineyard that pairs well with most dinner meals such as beef, Mexican, and cheeses. It has an alcohol content of 13.5% and is best when left to breathe for 20 minutes before drinking.

The 2016 Ruza® Rosé Cans is the type of wine that I think millennials moms might drink. It's a light refreshing wine with a dry sweetness and a fruity flavor. It features notes of rose petal, strawberry, and watermelon. This wine comes in a fun 3-pack that is perfect for wine on the go. I can easily see myself on a picnic blanket somewhere or on the beach taking one of these out of the cooler for a refreshing spritzy palate. In fact, these are best served chilled and paired with about anything you'd expect for a chill time such as pizza, burgers, and bbq. Made in California with Lodi grapes, this Rose is certainly peppy.

The 2016 Finke's Widow Sparkling White Blend quickly became my favorite out of this month's Winc delivery. It's a sparkling white blend that is made with a blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. This wine uses the Charmat Method to add that amazing sparkle. It's a light-bodied wine that has an alcohol content of 12.5%. It has notes of wet stone, white flowers, white peach, and pineapple. I personally enjoyed this wine, I mean who doesn't love the pleasant sparkle on the tongue. Plus the flavor was a dry sweetness but definitely light enough that it tickled my sweet tooth. I could see myself enjoying this wine on small celebrations.
Off all the wines I received the 2016 Finke's Widow Sparkling White Blend and the 2015 Rosa Obscura Red Blend were my two favorites. The definitely surprised me with their flavors and both danced a little on the sweet side. And that's what I love about Winc. I bet that I would have never tried these wines on my own but thanks to Winc, I have two new wines to keep an eye out for. If you haven't tried Winc yet, I highly recommend it. Plus, you can cancel your membership at any time. Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for me to wine down!
